November 7, 2004: Saturn’s moon Mimas seen against the backdrop of the ringed planet’s northern hemisphere, observed by the Cassini space probe.
Over the years, the Cassini-Huygens team at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has produced a bunch of spooktacular Saturn illustrations for Halloween.
The Cassini probe has since given up the ghost, as it were, but these images are still around to haunt Tumblr.
